GPT-4o is genuinely excellent for research, outlining, rewriting, brainstorming product ideas, writing email sequences, and creating social media captions. The $20/month for Plus is worth it versus the free tier for the speed and context window alone.
Pros: Incredibly versatile, huge context window, good at following detailed prompts, code capabilities useful for automations.
Cons: Generic output if you give generic prompts. The quality delta between "write me a blog post about X" and a well-crafted prompt is enormous. Requires you to know how to prompt well.

3. Surfer SEO — Best for Content Optimisation
Price: $89–$219/month | Best for: Bloggers and SEO teams
Surfer analyses the top-ranking pages for any keyword and tells you exactly what your content needs: word count, keyword density, heading structure, and which related terms to include. It takes the guesswork out of on-page SEO.

Pros: Comprehensive data, best competitive intelligence of any tool, accurate keyword volumes.
Cons: Expensive and complex for beginners. If you're just starting out, try their free tier (10 searches/day) until you're ready to invest.
Cheaper alternative: Ubersuggest at $29/month does 80% of what Semrush does for beginners.

Pros: Output quality is stunning for the price, fast iteration, commercial use rights included.
Cons: Requires prompt skill to get good results. The Discord interface is clunky (though a web UI now exists). Images can feel similar if you use the same style descriptors.
